Technical Theater

Technical theater is most of the work that happens behind stage from lighting and sound to house management and ticket sales, and everything in between. The work that goes on behind the scenes is just as important as on the stage. The diffrent crews are responsible for making sure all other theatracal elements are working to provide the combined production with the actors. From designing props to spotlight, all members are important.

Diffrent crews include:

  • Costumes

    • Research, find, and costume all cast members for the show and maintain costumes throughout show.

  • Make-up/hair

    •  Design and execute all make-up or hair requirements for cast.

  • Props

    •  Find, take care of, and set props for each show.

  • Lighting

    • Run lighting board or spotlights and potentially help with light design for the show.

  • Ticket Sales

    • Sell tickets at the door for shows and potentially during lunch or after school.

  • House Managment

    • Help audience members find seats, bathrooms, exits, or anything else the audience might need before and during the performances.

  • Stage Crew

    • Moving props and set pieces on and off the stage throughout the production for set changes.
